This meal makes leftovers! Also, you can use cheese sauce, you don’t have to make it yourself! This makes it a very easy dish to make, especially on a cold day!
You will need:
• 350g of pasta (any type!)
• A little butter
• A little garlic (either a clove, or powder)
• 500ml Milk
• 250g cheddar + a little extra for the top (Or parmesan)
• 3 tbsp. plain flour
• 1 tsp English mustard powder (optional)
Boil up your pasta for 2 minutes less than you usually would (so it’s still a little hard), and melt 2 tbsp. of butter in a separate pan. Add the garlic and mustard (if you used it) to the pain, cook it for a minute and then add the plain flour. Cook for about a minute and then slowly mix in the 500ml of milk until its lump free. (Note: if it won’t go lump-free, run it through a sieve and use the back of a spoon to crush the lumps left.)
Take the mixture off the heat and stir in 250g of grated cheddar cheese.
Add the pasta, and a little salt or pepper if you want, into the sauce and stir well.
Chuck it all into a nice large ovenproof dish, or individual ones if you prefer!
Add the rest of the grated cheese over the top and Cook for 20 minutes until it’s nice and golden!
Note: If you want to freeze some, make sure you freeze it before you bake it! It’ll last much longer!
