I made this version for breakfast for the first time! I just threw it together and it was actually very nice! It’s probably best for lunch though, rather than breakfast!
You will need:
Toast ONE side of the bread under the grill! This allows one side of the bread to be nice and soft.
Once toasted, flip over to the soft side of the bread and sprinkle as much cheese as you want. Also add the ham or onion if you wish!
Add the top side of the bread – allowing both toasted sides to be the outside of the sandwich.
Spread the butter on both of the toasted parts and throw it into a frying pan (no oil!!) to brown. Flip over to avoid burning!
Once it’s nice and brown pop it on a plate, slice it up and enjoy!
